About Lagoon Seafood

Founded in 1992, Lagoon Seafood specializes in the distribution, import, export, processing and curing of fresh and frozen seafood. Known for its assortment of high-quality products carefully selected from local and international sources, the company brings to market its catch through wholesalers and retailers across its primary markets both near and far.
Lagoon Seafood works directly with fishermen and fish farmers to allow better control of the origin and quality of its products. The company’s quality management department, comprising a quality assurance director and quality controllers, ensures constant monitoring of products throughout the channel – from water to warehouse to points of delivery – as well as production across its plants in Granby and Montreal, Quebec.
The company is committed to reducing its environmental footprint with the ultimate goal of transitioning towards recyclable, more eco-friendly packages for both consumers and foodservice/retail customers. Lagoon Seafood also recently launched an internal program to render its activities, both inside the factories and offices, more respectful of the environment. On an ongoing basis, the company invests in training and education related to the environment and sustainability.

Certified by BRC Global Standards, Marine Stewardship Council, Ocean Wise, Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) and Certification Biologique, Lagoon Seafood’s goal is to expand its presence and discover new products while maintaining its strict control on quality, customer care and the environment.
