The Ingredients
  • 2 Tilapia fillets
  • 2 Peaches (for Quebec, it's time to devour Ontario's peaches!)
  • 2 drizzles of extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons Pre-cooked pearled barley or other starch
  • 1 dab of semi-salted butter
  • Salt & pepper
  • A few basil leaves
Utensils
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Slicer
  • 1 Baking dish
  • 1 Large spatula
  • 2 Plates
  • 1 Tablespoon

Steps to follow

  • STEP 01

    Preheat the oven to 200 Celsius (400 Fahrenheit).

  • STEP 02

    Thaw the Tilapia fillets according to the instructions on the package.

  • STEP 03

    In the bottom of the baking dish, place the Tilapia fillets.

  • STEP 04

    Cut each fish into 8 pieces and place them as "scales" on the fish.

  • STEP 05

    Season with salt & pepper and drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

  • STEP 06

    Heat the pearled barley in the microwave for 30 seconds, adding a dab of butter beforehand.

  • STEP 07

    In each plate, place 2 tablespoons of barley (or other starch). Using the spatula, place each filet on its bed of barley.

  • STEP 08

    Sprinkle with basil leaves.

  • STEP 09

    Enjoy.
